Kings Peak, 13,528 Ft.Kings Peak is the highpoint of Utah, and of Duchesne County. It is the seventh highest of the U.S. State Highpoints. It is located approximately 42 miles north of Duchesne in the High Uinta Wilderness Area in the Ashley and Wasatch National Forests. The mountain was named after Clarence King, who was the first director of the US Geological Survey. White Baldy, 11,321 Ft.White Baldy is one of the highest peaks in the Wasatch. Quite rugged and seldom-climbed, it's easiest routes are class 3 scrambles with some exposure. Outstanding views of Red Pine Lakes/White Pine Lake area, as well as Silver Lake area to the south. From the summit, the western peak looks nearly as high, but the topo maps list it as 11,240+.
